Welcome! We are a reading and discussion group based at the University of Cambridge – see the links above for more information about our upcoming and past meetings. The Verstehen Colloquium brings together participants from philosophy and other disciplines across the humanities and social and natural sciences interested in exploring, primarily through the phenomenological and hermeneutic traditions, ways of understanding and interpreting humans and worlds. Our current convenors are Haotian (Walden) Wu, Sebastian Raza-Mejia, and Senthuran Bhuvanendra. We meet frequently during and outside term-time to discuss texts and share our own work making efforts in this direction.
